News of a Steamlands Decorating Competition....not part of the Tour but you just might want to enter!

UPDATE: CONTEST DEADLINE EXTENDED THROUGH 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27TH

A long-held Steelhead tradition is being brought to the Steamlands as a whole.  The Community of the City of Steelhead invites you to participate in:

The Spoopy Steamlands Halloween Decorating Competition!

ENTRANTS:  If you are a private resident in any Steamlands sim, or a Steamlands sojourner currently habitating any sim, and you want show off your decoratin' abilities of the Halloweenish nature (and come on, you know you do!), please submit a notecard to Bleue Lacroix (bluelacroix Resident) indicating your intent to enter.  This notecard needs to include:

1. Your name (and account name)

2. SLURL and landmark both of the decorated property

3. Optional: A description of your entry - any mention you wish to make of theme, Windlight or time-of-day settings, or sound settings which might optimise the experience.

PLEASE SUBMIT ALL ENTRIES BY TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27TH.  A list will be sent out with all the entries so interested parties may tour the locations to decide their favourites.  We request that decor be left intact until Tuesday, November 3rd, to give voters sufficient time to visit.

VOTERS:  After receiving the list of decorated participants, visit each one.  Create a notecard titled 'Spoopy Steamlands Vote' and indicate your first, second and third favourite decorated sites.  

Set your notecard to 'no modify' and send it to Baron Klaus Wulfenbach (KlausWulfenbach Outlander) promptly once you have made your decisions.  The votes will be totalled by a neutral party and winners announced after the 3rd.

This event brought to you by the Councillors of the City of Steelhead, the Consulate of Europa Wulfenbach, Fauve Aeon, and Bleue Lacroix.

Entries are beginning, huzzah! Check the 2015 page as I hopefully get more to add more each day.
Entry and listing on the Tour is open to anyone in Caledon who has decorated for Autumn or Halloween, just to make that clear! We want to come visit you!

A request to please keep entry formatting tight and neat, it really helps me to paste easier from Apple's infernal mobile devices! Many thanks to Andrea Jones for the first entries, I'm am queuing up more tomorrow because my wee peepers are closing fast tonight!

I will be out of world and cannot read SL notecards or retrieve photos from inworld but I can post to the official blog and include all your information so people can come visit you.

Trick-or-Treat 2015

Greetings everyone, it's Fauve!
Just a quick note to let y'all know the call for entries for stops on this year's Independent State of  Caledon Trick-or-Treat Tour will go out later today so if you haven't already well then... GET DECORATING!

Want to share your boos and brews with your fellow Caledonians? Have a pumpkin patch just pining to be picked? Or a graveyard that's hungry for fresh residents?

List your place on this year's Trick or Treat Tour site!  This year's site will go "live" in time for this weekend's Halloween festivities and will stay up through the Harvest Festival.  Just fill out the info below in a notecard and turn it in to me (Aevalle Galicia) inworld and I'll make sure your location is added for visitors!  Don't forget to leave treats (the tricks are optional)!
